NEW DELHI: India has recorded 92,596 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s total to 2,90,89,069, according to the union health ministry.
With 2,219 deaths, recorded in the last 24 hours, the total death has risen up to 3,53,528.
In the meantime, a total of 2,75,04,126 people have recovered from the virus.
After falling to a 63-day low of 86,498 on Tuesday, the number of new cases recorded has increased slightly.
The current positivity rate is 4.67 percent. For the 16th consecutive day, India’s positivity rating has been below 10 percent.
As a result, the active tally fell below 12,31,415 in the last 24 hours, a decrease of 72,287.
While the second wave’s positivity rate is now much lower than the first wave’s apex, the number of current cases is still larger than last year indicating the second wave’s long trail.
