NEW DELHI: India recorded 3.11 lakh new COVID cases bringing the total caseload to 2.46 crore, in the last 24 hours.
On Sunday morning, the Union minister of health and family welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan dashboard revealed that India’s total number of coronavirus disease cases had reached 24,684,077, with 311,170 cases recorded in the previous 24 hours.
The daily death toll from COVID-19 was 4,077, bringing the total number of deaths to 270,284, according to the dashboard.
For the seventh day in a row, India has seen a regular increase of lesser than 400,000 cases.
The number of patients who have recovered from the infectious disease has now reached 20,795,335 with 362,437 discharges added to the total.
Currently, the country has 3,618,458 active cases.
The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours increased to 1,832,950 up from 1,693,093 in the previous single-day span.
Until yesterday a total of 314,850,143 samples have been tested.
