INDIA’S Covid-19 tally crosses 4 lakh mark. Here's the breakdown.

India crossed 4 lakh COVID-19 cases on 20th June. The country has reported over 14,000 cases, in its steepest one-day jump on the same day.

As on June 22th, the country currently has 425,282 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 174387 active cases with 237195 cured and discharged. The number of deaths linked to the contagion is 13699.

The Union health ministry data on Monday shows an increase of 14,821 infections and 445 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Over 13,500 patients died due to the deadly virus in the country. Amid the rises cases, the recovery rate of the country also went up to 55.77% this morning.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 132075 corona cases with 65744 cured, 6170 deaths, and 60161 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 59746 cases with 33013 cured, 2175 deaths, and 24558 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 59377 positive cases with 32754 cured, 757 deaths 25866 active cases. Gujarat with 27260 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 19349 have been cured, 1663 deaths, and 6248 active cases.

The number of cases in northeast India has now crossed the 8000-mark.

The first case in the Northeast region was detected on March 24 when a 23-year-old woman who returned from the UK to Manipur was found positive. The same day, a 50-year-old pastor from Mizoram who had returned from the Netherlands also tested positive.
