INDIA’S Covid19 tally crosses 4 lakh mark. Here’s the breakdown.
India crossed 4.4 lakh covid19 cases on 22nd June. The country has reported 312 deaths and spike of 14933 new corona positive cases reported in India in last 24 hrs.
As on June 22th, the country currently has 178014 active cases with 248189 cured and discharged. The number of deaths linked to the contagion is 14011. A total number of tests done during the previous day 1,87,223.
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 135796 corona cases with 67706 cured, 6283 deaths, and 61807 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 62655 cases with 36602 cured, 2233 deaths, and 23820 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 62087 positive cases with 34112 cured, 794 deaths 27181 active cases. Gujarat with 27825 covid19 cases, so far, has 19909 have been cured, 1684 deaths, and 6232 active cases.
Northeast India: Covid19 cases
The first case in the Northeast region was detected on March 24 when a 23-year-old woman who returned from the UK to Manipur was found positive. The same day, a 50-year-old pastor from Mizoram who had returned from the Netherlands also tested positive.
Assam has the highest number of Covid19 cases in Northeast India followed by Tripura. Assam reported a total of 267 Covid19 cases on June 22nd, 2020 taking the state’s total to 5853. Of the 5853 cases, 2276 are active cases while 3565 have been cured and discharged and nine died due to the infection in the state so far.

Currently, the USA has the highest number of cases with 2,388,153 infected. India now is the in the fourth spot in terms of total positives with Brazil and Russia ahead.
