Is Akhil Gogoi making a 100 crore project deal in expensive coffeehouse?

Guwahati: A photo of Sibsagar MLA and Raijor Dal leader Akhil Gogoi has been widely trolled in social media since last evening where the leader was seen at a high-end coffee shop with two more in New Delhi. Gogoi is usually seen far from luxuries.

Identity of the two people with whom Akhil Gogoi was seen is not confirmed. According to sources Akhil met two investors and discussed about a 100 crore project.

Netizens have criticized Akhil Gogoi who is known as a peasant leader for not reaching out to people of his constituency at a time when Sivasagar is hit by flood badly. As per the latest flood report released on Sunday, a total of 16 villages in Sivasagar district is under water, out of which 11 is from his own constituency. A total of 7801 people have been affected by wrath of Brahmaputra in the district.

On Sunday, InsideNE broke the news of Akhil Gogoi holding a secret meeting with BJP Minister Pijush Hazarika in Room No: 102 in Assam House of  New Delhi. Gogoi has been in New Delhi for the past few days during which he also meet political strategist Prashant Kishor.
