"Whereas the AIUDF-Congress-BPF combine will fail to win any of the seats, our alliance candidates will perform strongly and win all the seats"

At 7 am in the morning, electors from 47 Constituencies across Assam headed out to the voting booths to cast their ballots.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 protocol was followed strictly in most of the polling stations where social distancing was enforced and gloves were issued to voters to cast their votes. COVID-19 protocols were thrown to the wind during the political campaigns though.

Assembly elections for 126 seats in Assam will be held in three phases starting from March 27 and the counting of votes will take place on May 2.
