Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, well-known for his brilliant bowling on Friday showed his batting skill for the very first time in his cricket career when he walked out of the ground with an unbeaten 55 during Day 1 of India Vs Australia A practice match at Sydney Cricket Ground

Bumrah bought up the milestone in style when pulled Will Sutherland for six. The cricketer remained unbeaten on 55 from just 57 balls.

The player hit six fours and two sixes against the Australian bowlers. It was the bowling attack against whom Indian top order crumbled but with Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj’s 71-run partnership for the final wicket, India could post 194 runs on the board.

Informing this BCCI tweeted, “Maiden first-class fifty for @Jaspritbumrah93 and this is also his first 50 in any format! He gets to his half-century in 54 balls in a pink-ball game against Australia A!”

Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer whose meme game has been the talk of the town lately, reacted to Bumrah's half-century with a fitting, hilarious meme.

Using Geet's (Kareena Kapoor) range of expressions from Bollywood movie Jab We Met, Jaffer tweeted:

Being the highest scorer of the day from his side, Bumrah also reached a milestone as this is his maiden first-class fifty.
