GUWAHATI: A team of Crime Branch, Assam Police, has nabbed a 27-year-old man from Jharkhand for offering jobs in lieu of money, police said.

 

 

An FIR was lodged at Crime Branch Police Station stating that one person, impersonating himself as an official of the Department of Health Service was making phone calls to candidates appearing for various posts under the department and demanding money in lieu of the posts.

A crime branch case no. 03/2021 U/S 420 IPC R/W Sec. 66(D) IT Act was filed against the man. During the ensuing investigation, Kamesh Pal, a resident of Garhwa in Jharkhand was nabbed by police.

 

 

A team of Crime Branch, Guwahati Police was sent and the accused has been arrested from Jamshedpur and is presently being brought to Guwahati.
