Karbi Anglong Administration Resolves to Take Gandhi's Principles to Every Nook and Cranny

Diphu, October 20, 2019:

With the objective of beautifying every nook and corner of Karbi Anglong, the Karbi Anglong administration led by CEM Tuliram Ronghang reached Bokajan and Borjan Constituencies to highlight the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Today is the 5th day of the 10-day Gandhi Sankalp Padyatra.

The team also consisted of MP Horensing Bey, MLA Numol Momin, Deputy Speaker Ritesh Enghi , EMs and MACs, among other dignitaries and BJP party karyakartas.

The administration is also laying emphasis on Pollution Prevention and the avoidance of single-use plastics. Moreover, focus has also been laid on propagating the father of the nation's Non-violence Cleanliness Swadheshi Simplicity.

The Gandhian principles have seen a resurgence in the light of Indian freedom fighter's 150th birth anniversary, and the Central Government too has resolved to cleanse the country of single-use plastics.

In the world of entertainment and cinema, the Indian Prime Minister has urged the Bollywood filmmakers to make and promote films based on the life of 'Bapu'.

On 19 October, the Indian PM Narendra Modi hosted the ‘Change Within’ initiative in his residence in capital New Delhi. The glittering ceremony was attended by several Bollywood biggies including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Kapil Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sajid Nadiadwala. However, South Indian stars were glaringly absent from the event.

The focus was on inviting the film industry to create films and television shows that popularise Mahatma Gandhi and Gandhism, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation. During the ceremony, the Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan reiterated the need for Gandhian principles.
