NEW DELHI: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju recently took to twitter on Monday to express his disappointment over opposition parties for not allowing him to be introduced by the Prime Minister as the first law minister from a tribal community on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament.

He said the Congress and allies disrupted the introduction of Council of Ministers in which SC, ST, OBC and Women got big place. It is ceremonial for the Prime Minister to address in the Parliament during the session to introduce the newly appointed Union Ministers.

It is usual for the Prime Minister to address in the Parliament during the session to announce newly appointed Union Ministers.

On the first day of the session, the ceremony was planned to take place. However opposition parties began causing havoc in the legislature on a variety of issues, including fuel price hikes and agriculture laws.

Here's what Kiren Rijiju said

Kiren Rijiju wrote, “But I'm sad. As the first Tribal to be Minister of Law and Justice of the country, I didn't get the opportunity to be introduced in the Parliament by Hon'ble PM as Congress and allies disrupted the introduction of Council of Ministers in which SC, ST, OBC & Women got a big place”.

Kiren Rijiju is the first minister from a tribal community to be sworn in as the Minister of Law and Justice and also the MP from Arunachal Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also accused the opposition parties of being unable to comprehend the fact that numerous Dalits, tribals, women and OBCs are among the new ministers.

Home Minister Amit Shah criticised the opposition for disrupting the session in the press release.

“Disruptors and obstructers will not be able to derail India’s development trajectory through their conspiracies. Monsoon session will bear new fruits of progress”, Shah twitted.
