KOKRAJHAR: The villagers of Patgaon have taken out a rally with the body of Jwngsar Musahary, one of the two killed militants of United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) in a police encounter yesterday, claiming his death as a planned cold-blooded murder.

Jwngsar was a resident of Salguri of Patgaon, who lost his life in a police operation in the Ultapani forest area, where the Kokrajhar unit of Assam Police has busted a newly formed militancy group ULB camp as per police information. The Police have recovered pistols and grenades from the spot as well.

On the other hand, the ULB denied having any connection with the two killed in the encounter and said they were not ULB members, in a released video.

Villagers, enraged by Jwngsar's killing, have taken out a mass rally and demanded justice for him.

"Police killed an innocent person in a fake encounter. It's an extrajudicial cold-blooded killing. We have to demand justice as a whole Bodo community. This must stop against us," said former Kokrajhar MP Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary.

"We have no words to condemn this act. Today ABSU has adapted the characteristics of ruling UPPL. It's no more ABSU. Now it is a part of the present Assam government, part of Pramod Boro's UPPL. Hence, I urge the present students of this generation to take care of ABSU," Bwiswmuthiary added.

Bwiswmuthiary also alleged that a case against two deceased was registered at Serfanguri Police Station and both were apprehended afterwards. Later both were taken to a different place and killed by police in a fake encounter.
