Landslide damages popular cafeteria in Sikkim

Torrential rain and landslide continues to wreak havoc in Sikkim. A cafeteria at Sirwani road connecting South and East districts has been severely damaged due to landslide. The cafeteria is one of the best in Sikkim and very popular among the tourists. The road also got blocked for vehicular movement due to the landslide.

It may be mentioned that Sikkim is facing dual crisis. On one hand, number of Covid-19 cases in the state are increasing rapidly specially in East district and on the other hand torrential rain has blocked all the district highways and rural roads. The state have been facing immense crisis of milk and local vegetables.
