Woman chops off man’s genitals after he tries to rape her

BHOPAL: A woman chopped off the genitals of a man who was allegedly attempting to rape her by breaking into her home in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh, reports said. Both the man and the woman have been booked by the police.

The incident occurred in Umariha village, about 50 kilometres from the district headquarters, according to officials.

The woman stated in her statement that she was at home with her 13-year-old son when the accused (45) entered their home.

Her husband had gone out of town on some work. Her son fled the home, believing a thief had broken in, after which the accused thrashed the woman and attempted to sexually assault her.

In an attempt to save herself, the woman took a sickle from under her cot and cut off the man's genitals, adding that she went to a police station and filed a complaint against him at 1.30 a.m. on Friday.

The defendant was taken to a hospital and given first aid. He was later transferred to Sanjay Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Rewa district.
