Uttar Pradesh man, unhappy with daughter's 'relationship status', beheads her

LUCKNOW: A man in Lucknow beheaded his daughter (17) as he was not happy with her relationship with a man, and was spotted carrying her severed head on the road.

 

The accused has been identified as Sarvesh Kumar, a resident of Pandetara village in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.

 

The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.

 

The locals of the area were in for a shock when they spotted Sarvesh calmly walking down the road with the severed head of his daughter.

 

Locals immediately informed police, following the call two police officials reached the spot and filmed the approach with a phone asking his name and whose head it was, while Sarvesh with no hesitation admits to beheading his daughter with a sharp tool.

In the video the accused can be heard, “No one else was there, I closed the latch and did it.” He further informed that he left the body in the room.

 

The police ask Sarvesh to put the head down and sit by the road and once again without protest he obliges.

 

Police brought him to the police station and arrested him.

 

Furthermore, a cop has also been suspended, who was seen carrying her head inappropriately in a photo, said a police official.

 

According to the latest data released by the National Crime Record Bureau in September last year, Uttar Pradesh topped the list of states with the highest number of crimes against women in 2019.
