Sarkar said the move by the BJP government would make the future of youth in the state bleak.
“Outsourcing government jobs is completely unethical. This move of the BJP government will push the future and lives of the state’s youth towards uncertainty,” Sarkar said.
The Tripura government has outsourced jobs in various state government departments to private firms. A circular was issued in this regard by the directorate of employment services and manpower planning on February 26.
“The Directorate of Employment Services and Manpower Planning, Government of Tripura has empanelled Agencies for supply of manpower on item rate basis to different State Government Departments,” the circular reads.
Describing the development as a war of the Tripura government against the state’s youth, Sarkar demanded immediate rollback of the circular.
“This is in stark contrast with what the BJP had promised the youth of Tripura prior to the assembly elections,” Sarkar said.
