Cabinet decides to continue lockdown for another 7 days with some relaxations on opening of shops selling essential items in Manipur.

A pregnant woman died early Thursday morning at the entrance of Shija Hospitals after she was allegedly refused admission by other hospitals in Imphal, Manipur.

Reports say the expecting mother, identified as Mrs. Kachakna Kamei, age about 20, from Puichi Village, Noney district was denied medical help for delivery by about five hospitals they approached at Imphal.

As per reports, the patient group went weeping and begging the whole night through, from hospitals to hospitals but were turned away by all of them. And as they reach Shija Hospitals at about 4:00 in the morning, Mrs. Kamei died at the entrance of the hospital, before they could get inside.

The family went back in the ambulance from the entrance without even entering the Shija Hospitals, witness informed.
