Manipur: Double-jabbed passengers exempted from mandatory COVID testing

The Manipur Government has announced passengers who have been vaccinated with both the doses  will be exempted from mandatory COVID-19 testing on entering the state.

IMPHAL: The Manipur Government has announced passengers who have been vaccinated with both the doses  will be exempted from mandatory COVID-19 testing on entering the state.

However, the exemption will be allowed on the condition that at least 15 (fifteen days) should have been completed from the date on which the second dose of COVID vaccine was administered.

In an official notification, the state health department stated, "Persons entering Manipur from outside the state, who have been fully vaccinated with two doses of COVID vaccine, shall be exempted from producing negative COVID testing reports or from mandatory testing on arrival at Imphal airport.."

As per the notification, passengers at Mao gate and Jiribam shall not be required to undergo mandatory testing on producing vaccination certificate.

The passengers will have to produce a valid certificate depicting the fully vaccinated status of the person with two doses of COVID vaccine with the certificate clearly indicating the date on which the second vaccine dose received.
