MANIPUR: NAB APRREHENDED ADC CHAIRMAN LUTKHOSEI ZOU

NAB apprehends Chairman of Chandel District, Lutkhosei Zou along with drugs from his Lamphel quarter.

Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) arrested ADC chairman of Chandel district, Lutkhosei Zou along with drugs from his Lamphel quarter. The late night raid yeilded 4 kilograms of heroin and at least 2.8 lakh number of WY tablets totalling around a cost of 20 crore. The NAB team led by ASP, Th Brinda also seized several lakhs of currency. Sources state that at least 8 persons were arrested along with the chairman. The ADC chairman belongs to BJP.

World is Yours (WY) Amphetamine tablets costing around 2,80,200, weighing 28 kilos worth Rs 14,01,00,000 also a sum of total cash Rs 57,18,000 is seized and altogether the total amount of drugs with seized currency is Rs 28,36,68,000 at international market.

The eight arrested is identified as Mr. Lhukhosei Zou alias Shesei Zou, Mr. Esther Vungheinuam, Mr. Mung Zou alias Aric, Thangminlum Zou, Mrs Teresa Ngaite alias Nengboi, Mr. Lawrence Zou, Mr. Minlal Mate and Mt. Jamkhohao PRO of Chairman ADC Lhukhosei Zou.

After investigation four packets of heroine powder weighing 4,595 kgs, WY tablets, Old Indian Currency notes, one 0.32 NPB pistol with 21 rounds, one SBBL Rifle, two gun license books, eight bank passbooks, nine cheques books, several loose cheque leaves, eight cell phones, one honda activa, two suitcase, one briefcase and one weighing scale has been recovered from them.
