Massive fire breaks out leaving one seriously injured in Assam's Dhubri

DHUBRI: Property worth lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes, and one person was seriously injured, in a massive fire that broke out this evening in Dharamshala, block-1 village of Assam's Dhubri district.

The injured person is Anwar Hussain (28), a resident of Dharamsala.

The fire broke out at around 2 am last night at Hussain's house destring property worth around rupees ten lakh as well as six rooms of the house.

Hussain was immediately admitted to Dhubri Civil Hospital in a serious condition.

The 28-year-old man sustained severe fire injuries.

He is currently undergoing treatment at the district Civil Hospital.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the victim and the local public suspect that an unidentified enemy set fire to it; however an investigation is currently underway, said police.
