ASSAM: 7TH MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF SPORTS ASSOCIATION ORGANISED

Chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal chaired the 7th Meeting of the Governing Body of Sports Association of Assam at Janata Bhawan. The Chief Minister reviewed works undertaken for development of sports scenario of the State.

33 sports mobilises will be recruited by the Govt across all districts of Assam, to help improve the sporting environment by mobilising all stakeholders. During the meet, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite works under Sports Budget allocation of INR 500 crore and various projects.

In the meeting, it was also decided that 5000 youths from all districts of Assam will be imparted skill training in Guwahati to create awareness against superstitions.
