Meghalaya: 5 more corona cases, state tally rises to 20. Here's how

Five more active case has been detected in Meghalaya. The case is the 20th case of the state so far. Out of the 5 cases, all the cases had travel history. The active cases are 7.

Taking stock of the situation, CM Conrad Sangma said, "Five more people who came recently from Delhi-Haryana have been tested positive for COVID19".

An important aspect of the cases is that they are asymptomatic. The CM tweeted according to the situation

The novel coronavirus has infected over 1.72 lakh people and claimed over 4337 lives as on May 27, 2020, morning, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There are 83004 active cases with 64425 cases discharged and cured.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross a thousand deaths. It has recorded 54758 corona cases with 16954 cured and 1792 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat has corona 14821 cases with 7139 cured and 915 deaths. Tamil Nadu has registered 17728 cases with 9342 cured and 127 deaths. The National Capital with 14465 COVID-19 cases has crossed the 10 thousand mark on May 25^th, 2020. So far, 7223 have been cured in Delhi with 288 deaths.

India has already surpassed China’s official figure confirmed coronavirus cases. India is the 10th in most cases in the world. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID19 cases at 1,725,275.

Much will be understood in the days to come with interstate airlines getting opened, which can possibly increase the spike of cases as the country heads towards a relaxed system of lockdown. The question is, is living with corona the new normal?
