SHILLONG: In view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Meghalaya government today took certain decisions that will be in force from tomorrow onwards.

Holding a review meeting for the COVID-19 situation in Shillong, Conrad Sangma-led government has imposed a curfew from 8 pm to 5 pm in Shillong Agglomeration with effect from tomorrow,

All shops will be closed at 7 pm, and the office hours will be reduced from 5 pm to 4.30 pm in the state capital.

The government has also agreed that for both COVID and non-COVID cases, the disposal of dead bodies will be permitted until 2 pm every day, and this will applicable for the entire state.

It further urged all concerned stakeholders to adhere to the measures taken by the government.
