SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma yesterday said his government will discuss on the matter of inter-state boundary with Assam with the new government after election in Assam.

 

CM Sangma who was speaking in the House stated that there was no inter-state boundary talk with Assam due to Covid-19 pandemic, adding that he will pursue the matter after election.

 

The chief minister also informed about several development projects which are undertaken by both the state governments at the disputed areas have been stopped.

He assured to look into the opposition's demand that the Assam government should stop the alleged illegal construction of a transit camp at Khanapara in Meghalaya's border district of Ri Bhoi.

 

He had also communicated with the Assam government in January February last year to meet to discuss the border issue at the chief ministers level.
