Meghalaya to close all entry points for 1 week in next 3 months

The Meghalaya Government has decided to close all entry points to Meghalaya for 1 week every month in the next 3 months starting Sept 2020.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma took to Twitter to announce the measure to reduce the COVID-19 load on health infrastructure and administration. "This is being done to unburden our health, frontline workers, and the respective District Administration engaged in intensive surveillance for COVID-19", said Conrad Sangma.

Spike of 68,898 cases and 983 deaths reported in India, in the last 24 hours.
