 SHILLONG: The Meghalaya government on Saturday said that the draft of Meghalaya Youth Policy 2021 is at its final stage of development and will be up in the public domain by the upcoming week.

 

 

Meghalaya chief minister informed that discussions regarding the same were held today to refind the youth policy of the state, to ensure that the interventions are applicable and relevant to the needs of the youth today.

Sangma in his tweet wrote, “The draft Meghalaya Youth Policy 2021 is at its final stage of development & will be put up in public domain by next week. Discussions were held today to refine the Policy, to ensure that the interventions are applicable & relevant to the needs of our youth today.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Government of Meghalaya is in the process of drafting a comprehensive, holistic, and inclusive Youth Policy encompassing various aspects that affect the youth of today in the State.

 

 

“A lot of innovative interventions will be made to ensure that the potentials of our youth are harnessed. It is our promise to the youth that as a committed government, we will create an environment where our youth are guided in the right direction,” Sangma said last month after laying the base for the construction of an indoor stadium at Jongksha in East Khasi Hills district in presence of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Bantiedor Lyngdoh.

 

 

The state-of-the-art sports infrastructure is being built at an estimated cost of Rs. 22 crores and is likely to be completed by December 2022.
