Meghalaya's Rajabala MLA Azad Zaman passes away at 47

SHILLONG: Congress MLA Azad Zaman from Rajabala constituency in Meghalaya passed away at the age of 47 this morning.

Zaman had died around 2:30 am due to cardiac arrest.

As soon as the news spread, chief minister Conrad K Sangma, party leaders, friends haad condoled his demise.

CM Sangma took to Twitter and wrote, “Shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Hon’ble MLA of Rajabala, Meghalaya, Dr. Azad Zaman. Dynamic and young leader of the plain belt of Garo Hills who worked tirelessly for the people. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.”
