Miscreants loot Rs 1.15 crore after shooting SBI employee in Manipur

An State Bank of India (SBI) staffer was shot dead and Rs 1.15 crore was looted in Churachandpur district of Manipur. The deceased Arambam Ranjan Meitei aged 37 years was on his to load cash in ATMs when the incident took place at round 11 am. Meitei was an employee of the SBI, Churachandpur main branch. The incident happened just out the bank.

The miscreants are shot Meitei from a very close range and fled the scene with the looted money. Meitei was first rushed to the Churachandpur District Hospital and later shifted to Shija Hospital in Imphal but succumbed to his injuries.

Meitei was a resident of Zoveng Khuga Tampak in Imphal. The matter is being investigated and a hunt is on to nab the culprits.Meanwhile, few suspects have been detained for questioning.
