On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Mizoram in a post through his twitter: “my greetings to the people of Mizoram, I pray that Mizoram progresses immensely in the years to come.”

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh twitted: “My greetings to the people of Mizoram on the 'Statehood Day'. I Pray for the continuous progress on the state.”
