Mizoram Govt. to organise Anthurium Festival

AIZAWL: Lalrinzuali, IAS convened Anthurium Festival Programme Committee yesterday discussing the two days programme for organising one of the state biggest Anthurium festival at her chamber with officials from Tourism Department.

Tourism Department Commissioner & Secretary Pi Lalrinzuali, IAS informed that since 2006, Mizoram Government has organised Anthurium festival succesfully, while the festival in 2020 is organised in virtual due to Covid-19 pandemic.

“This year the commitee has already decided to organise thye Anthurium festival in virtual and leh offline (hybrid) which will include Short Documentary, Cultural dance, Recap Tour de Hmuifang and manymore and it will be organise soon,” she added.

Anthurium Festival is a festival promoting Anthurium grown in Mizoram and the rich Mizo customs and traditions.

The Festival is organized every year by the Tourism Department and the Horticulture Department with financial support of the central government.
