MIZORAM: Two children tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours

AIZAWL: Two children in Mizoram tested COVID-19 positive along with 20 others over the past 24 hours.

This tally includes an elderly woman as well.

With 22 new cases on Sunday, the state tally had mounted 5,410 as the official record stated.

Mizoram has 726 total active cases and 4,671 people recovered from the virus so far.

the above positive cases were detected through rapid antigen test and TrueNAT. No RT-PCR test had been done.

Currently, Aizawl has the highest number of active cases with a total number of 566 and Lawgtlai is in the second position with 71 positive cases.

The highest death toll due to COVID-19 recorded in Aizawl as well with 12 death cases.

The state tested a total number of 421 samples on Sunday. The state had tested 2,90,415 samples so far.

As many as 1,66,417 people in the state had received the first dose of the Covid vaccines so far.

On April 25, the Mizoram government had announced an extension to their lockdown-like restrictions in the state till May 3 which was supposed to be lifted on April 26 in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases.
