MLA Satyabrata Kalita appeals Samujjal Bhattacharya to join AGP

Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA Satyabrata Kalita has appealed All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) chief advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya to join AGP. Amid reports that Bhattacharya has been cornered by the AASU leadership, Kalita opined that the former should join active politics.

Earlier, former AASU central executive member Simanta Thakuria alleged that AASU president Dipanka Kumar Nath has been running autocracy and cornered Bhattacharya in the students’ body. Thakuria who has recently resigned from the AASU also criticised the forming of the political party Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) under the aegis of the AASU.
