Nagaland reports 8 new COVID-19 cases, total climbs to 355

Nagaland reported eight new COVID-19 cases on June 25^th, 2020 taking the state’s total to 355, state Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom stated.

Out of the eight confirmed COVID-19 cases, five are from Kohima quarantine centre and three are from Dimapur quarantine centre.

Out of the 355 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 207 are active cases and 148 have been cured and discharged in the state so far. However, the state has reported no death.

Nagaland and Northeast

Assam has the highest COVID-19 cases in the Northeast followed by Tripura.

India COVID-19 cases so far

India recorded 418 deaths and the highest single-day spike of 16,922 new Covid19 positive cases reported in India in the last 24 hours. Positive cases in India stand at 4,73,105 including 1,86,514 active cases, 2,71,697 cured/discharged/migrated & 14,894 deaths. 75,60,782 samples tested till 24th June. 2,07,871 samples tested in the last 24 hours: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 142900 corona cases with 73792 cured, 6739 deaths, and 62369 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 70390 cases with 41437 cured, 2365 deaths, and 26588 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 67468 positive cases with 37763 cured, 866 deaths 28839 active cases. Gujarat with 28943 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 21088 have been cured, 1735 deaths, and 6120 active cases.
