Nagaland: Three members of NSCN’s Niki Sumi Faction apprehended

KOHIMA: The Nagaland Police today apprehended three members of the NSCN’s Niki Sumi faction, including the insurgent group’s chief functionary. The police also recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition was also seized from the their possession.

The three accused were allegedly engaging in blank fire in several areas in Dimapur.

The militants have been identified as Nikato Pilot Sumi (31), a supervisor of the Ceasefire Supervisory Board cum kilonser (minister) of the group, Awang Konyak (28) and Wahkoi Konyak (28).

Further investigation currently underway.
