Nagaland: Wokha District witnesses total shutdown today

KOHIMA: The Wokha District of Nagaland today witnessed total shutdown after The Wokha Village bodies, Wokha Village Youth Organization, Wokha Village Students’ imposed total shutdown from 6am to 6pm.

The Union bodies were compelled to impose shut down as the PWD (NH) failed to respond to its ultimatum within the stipulated date to construct the single intermediate lane (NH-61/ NH-2) to two-lane road from Miropen gate to hammock resort under Wokha district.

However, Medical, Paramilitary and Educational institutions have been exempted from the proposed shutdown.
