KOHIMA: The number of COVID-19 cases reached 13,569 after 124 more people tested positive for the disease in Nagaland on Wednesday, according to health minister S Pangnyu Phom.

There were 107 new cases registered in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, two in Mon, and one in Tuensang.

During the day, 32 people were cured of the disease, with 29 from Kohima and three from Longleng, bringing the total number of recoveries to 12,183, according to the minister.

The state's coronavirus patients have a recovery rate of 89.79 per cent.

The death toll increased to 101, according to Integrated Disease Surveillance Program state nodal officer Dr Nyanthung Kikon, as two people from Dimapur and Kohima succumbed to the disease.

There are 952 active cases in Nagaland, and 333 patients have moved to other states.

So far, 1,45,547 sample tests have been performed in the state.
