'NANA - a tale of us' released on YouTube; find link to watch here

DIMAPUR: 'NANA - a tale of us', the highly-acclaimed film from Nagaland, has been uploaded on the video-sharing platform YouTube, where it can be viewed for free.

The 100-minute long film, directed by Tiakumzuk Aier which stars Zhokhoi Chuzu, Mengu Suokhrie, Watipongla Kichu, Bokavi Swu, Imnasenla Aier, Ariensa Longchar and Imkongchuba Longchar in leading roles, was uploaded on the official channel of the 'Aoyimti Youth Ministry.' In two days of release, the film has already racked up upwards of 1 lakh views. Impressive, isn't it? Interestingly, the entire production was locally done and most of the actors were non actors.

It was the first fiction film from Nagaland to be screened overseas at the Edinburgh Festival of Indian Films and Documentaries, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2017. Director Tiakumzuk Aier also won Golden Calton Best Director at the festival. It was also screened at Kolkata International Film Festival 2018 and Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival, 2019.

'Nana - a tale of us' swept the recently held Prag Cine awards in the 'Northeast' category, taking home as many as 4 trophies. It won in the 'Best Film Northeast', 'Best Actor Female Northeast', 'Best Actor Male Northeast', and 'Best Director Northeast' categories.
