NATIONAL WEBINAR ON NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020

Coinciding with the World Teachers Day, a webinar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was organised under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi University,

Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with NCC Group Headquarters, Tezpur and 1 Arunachal Pradesh NCC Bn on 05 October 2020.

However, Nominated educationists from all across the country participated in the webinar, the first of its kind in the North Eastern Region.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University and Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, Sena Medal, ADG NCC NER, amongst others.

Prof Kushwaha and Gen Bhuyan stressed upon the need for mutual cooperation among all agencies towards successful implementation of the new education policy.

implementation of various guidelines enunciated in the new education policy.

Dr NT Rikam, Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University highlighted the patriotic sentiment of the people of North Eastern region and contribution of the youths of the region towards nation building.

The pertinent issues related to the new education policy were addressed comprehensively by the experts during the webinar.

Prominent resource persons, viz, Prof NK Yadav, NCERT, Prof Saroj Pandey, IGNOU and Prof Elizabeth Handing, RGU brought out the important facets of the education policy and the road towards its implementation.

Also, all the speakers unanimously opined that the new education policy is an all inclusive one,

wherein all the faculties of the students would get nurtured and developed.

The progress of education would be in a phased manner and avenues for higher education would provide greater flexibility and freedom to students.

The seamless and time bound implementation of this policy would thus require greater synergy among all stake holders.
