North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa visited the land dispute area of Daldali in Karbi Anglong district along Assam-Nagaland state border.

The CEM made his visit after a video surfaced where villagers of Nagaland were seen clearing jungles in Assam in an intention to encroach the area went viral in some section of the media. In the video, Nagaland villagers were also seen threatening villagers of Assam.

The CEM was accompanied by NCHAC chairperson, Ranu Langthasa, Executive Member (EM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Pradip Dipusa, EM of NCHAC Biswajit Daolagupu, EM of NCHAC Golonjo Thaosen and MAC of NCHAC Ratan Jarambusa.

The team also visited Dimasa village-Disapur under Dhansiri area of Karbi Anglong District, Assam and interacted with the villagers.

The CEM  assured the villagers to extend support and also assured to talk with the concerned authorities for resolving the state border land disputes as early as possible.

CEM Gorlosa said that he will personally speak to Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang to maintain peace and brotherhood with Dimasas of Karbi Anglong district.
