NEUFC to Face FC Goa at Assam’s Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium Today

North East United FC in their second home game of the ISL season VI will take on FC Goa today.

The match will begin at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium at 7:30 pm in the evening.

This is the third game for both NEUFC and FC Goa. Both the teams collected four points each from their earlier two outings.

The ‘Bhoot Jolokia Fires’ playing the match today are Subhasish Roy (GK), Reagan Singh, Heerings Kai, Mislav Komorski, Rakesh Pradhan, Nikhil Kadam, Redeem Tlang, Milan Singh, Jose Leudo (C), Asamoah Gyan, Martin Chaves.

Whereas, the 'Gaurs' playing the match are Mohammad Nawaz (GK), Carlos Pena, Seriton Fernandes, Mourtada Fall, Lenny Rodrigues, Mandar Rao Dessai (C), Jackichand Singh, Brandon Fernandes, Ahmed Jahouh, Hugo Boumous, Ferran Corominas.

The Highlanders have reached this match after a hard-fought draw against champions Bengaluru FC away from home and a win against ISL new entrants, Odisha FC.

With injured key foreign players, the Goan side has thrashed Chennaiyin FC in their first match. The match between FC Goa and Bengaluru ended up in a draw.

NEUFC’s striker Asamoah Gyan is considered to be one of the best players in this ISL. Indian midfielder Redeem Thang, and defender Kai Heerings have also shown impressive skills. Foreigners Panagiotis Triadis is also a crucial player for NorthEast.

According to the experts' prediction, Coro will be the man to lead the attacks. Len Doungel and Jackichand Singh will also have a key impact on the match. Foreign defenders Mourtada Fall and Carlos Pena will also have to be taken into account and Goalkeeper Muhammed Nawaz is also in good form for the Goan team.
