Amid the rising cases of COVID-19, the flood situation in Assam is worsening day by day. The people of Assam have been struggling with floods for past few weeks now.
With generosity pouring in from different parts of the country, YouTube stars and internet sensations are appealing everyone to come forward and help the flood victims in Assam.
Now, the YouTube sensation Ajey Nagar popularly known as CarryMinati successfully raised over Rs 10 lakhs through a Charity Stream on his YouTube Channel. He also mentioned that he will personally add 1 lakh rupees for flood victims in Assam and Bihar.
After Carry, Stand-up comedian Abhineet Mishra also helped to raised funds for Assam floods.
Remember Abhineet Mishra? The same dude who joked about the media’s apathy about the miners trapped in a Meghalaya rat hole in a video that went viral?
This time the comedian has raised over Rs 6 lakhs through a charity fundraiser – Milaap which will go to RIHAA, an NGO in Dhemaji, working with students of TISS to help flood victims.
Abhineet also mentioned on his Instagram handle that the funds raised will not go to the CM Relief Fund but will be handed to credible sources.
He further stated that the CM never donates the funds to the victims.
Today Abhineet Mishra took to his Instagram handle and wrote, ‘We have crossed 8 lakhs. We started with the aim of 3 lakhs and now we are chasing a million. Thank You for standing up for our fellow Indians in #assamfloods ❤️
Last 36 hours. Let’s Go!’
A few days back, Abhineet shared a video comparing the National media for not covering the Assam flood. He also wrote, “Assam is Fighting Alone. AGAIN Behas Mishra ft. Abhineet Mishra
Dear #assam ,
This is a start. I promise to keep the voice loud enough for those with deaf years. This has been my toughest work so far – drowned houses, lost lives, dead hopes. I saw all of it in all the #assamfloods pictures and videos you all shared with me.
I will be praying for this to get over soon. But, I will be doing something more too. We will rise again.
Love & Light
