Reportedly, the following development comes as a major blow for CSK sqaud as Raina has been a mainstay in the CSK batting line-up. Raina had trained with the franchise in Chennai before departing for UAE.
Raina had recently announced his retirement from international cricket. The development comes after Sursh Raina called time on his international career. The player made his last international appearance in the year 2018 during India’s tour of England and since then has been out-of-favor of the side.
The cricketer batted at the third or the fourth spot in his career which now belongs to Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.
Raina retired with an average of 25 in Tests, 35 in ODIs and nearly 30 in the shortest format of the game.
The 13th edition of the IPL will be begin from UAE from September 19.
