Nine Myanmar trained NDFB-S nabbed in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati, December 3, 2018:

Nine National Democratic Front of Bodoland-Saraigwra (NDFB-S) cadres were nabbed by the Assam Police and security forces from Chamro in Arunachal Pradesh while they were infiltrating into India from their training camp in Myanmar.

According to the statement by the security forces, there was a intelligence input regarding the presence of some NDFB-S Cadres in Chamro and based on it a joint operation was launched by Chirang army of Red Horns Division, Assam Rifles and Jairampur police on the night of December 2. During the operation, the team apprehended nine militants of the NDFB-S and all of these were Myanmar trained cadres belonging to 42nd Batch.

The have been identified as Sulekha Brahma alias B Sansuli of Chirang, Sumuriya Narzary alias N Swithwma of Chirang, Rajesh Basumatry of Chirang as well, Gaodang Mochahary alias M Goutuma of Kokrajhar, Rita Swrgary alias S Rwirub of Sonitpur, Rotjona Narzary alias N Daneosilang of Chirang, Mani Ram Basumatary alias B Maofung of Sonitpur, Dillp Narzary of Kokrajhar and Binaram Narzary alias N Bibar of Kokrajhar.

The security forces said that the complete group was busted while infiltrating into India from their training camp in Myanmar. An Ambush was established on their infiltration route and all the cadres were nabbed. The Operation also resulted in recovery of arms, ammunition including one AK-47 and one AK-56. The cadres along with seized items were handed over to police.
