Nita Ambani Lauds Assam's Hima Das at Sports Business Summit in London

Nita Ambani, who is the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, was all praises for 'Dhing Express' at the Sports Business Summit held recently in London. While delivering her address as a keynote speaker at the Summit on Tuesday, Ambani gave the example of Hima Das to show the power of sports.

Ambani said that although Hima had to face many troubles due to poverty and could not afford proper shoes, she made her mark by winning 5 gold medals within 20 days.

"Now, Hima is not just a gold medal winner, but she is also the brand ambassador of ADIDAS. That is the power of sports", Ambani exclaimed. Ambani also said that the Reliance Foundation had been conceptualized to help the downtrodden of society -- especially women and children, and has touched the lives of at least 34 million people thus far.

Nita Ambani, who is the Chairperson of Indian Super League (ISL), on October 8, shared her vision for Indian football and said she would like to see India play at the FIFA World Cup.
