No religion shall be blamed for COVID spread; Pradyot Manikya extends Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings

AGARTALA: Tripura royal scion Pradyot Manikya Debbarma, chairman Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) extending greetings to all the Muslims on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr urged everyone to celebrate the festival abiding by all COVID-19 guidelines.

Pradyot Manikya took to social media site Facebook and extending Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings, he urged all Muslims to maintain social distance and to wear masks properly while surrounded by gatherings during celebrations of the festival, as the world is fighting a battle against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

He said, "Do not allow anyone to blame any religion for the spread of COVID-19 infection, no one should get a chance to blame any religion and claim that COVID is spread because of them."

"In this epidemic, we all have to fight against the virus together, so do not encourage crowd or mass gatherings, and celebrate the festival safe," he added.

Talking about his mother Maharani Bibhu Kumari Devi's health who recently tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, Pradyot Manikya said she is in home isolation now, and taking proper medications.

He further urged everyone to pray for his mother's speedy recovery.
