NOMINATION FILING FOR NAGALAND ASSEMBLY ELECTION FROM TODAY

Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha said Nagaland is all set for the coming Assembly elections and tomorrow today the Election Notification will be issued, after which nomination papers can be filed in Returning Officers’ Offices from 11 AM to 3 PM and the submission of nomination for any candidate will continue till February 7 next and the Returning Officers (RO) are either the Additional Deputy commissioner (ADC) or Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).

Nomination can be filed in the RO Offices and there are seven ROs based in Deputy Commissioner’s Offices due to inadequate infrastructure. The nominations can be filed in Returning Officers’ Offices from 11 AM to 3 PM till 7th February next. This time the ROs are either ADC or SDO.
