NRC Part of Greater Conspiracy to Genocide Muslims in India: Pak PM Imran Khan

After Article 370, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday took National Register of Citizens (NRC) to attack the Modi government that is published today.

Referring to the NRC that excluded over 19 lakh people in Assam, Imran Khan claimed that the ‘illegal annexation of occupied Kashmir’ is part of a wider policy of the Indian government ‘to target Muslims’.

Taking it to the social media platform, Khan tweeted, “The reports of the genocide of Muslims in the Indian and international media by the Modi government should raise alarm bells around the world that illegal occupation of Kashmir is part of a larger strategy against Muslims.”

It is to be mentioned that the final draft of NRC has been published today in which 19,06,657 persons have been excluded.

The NRC state Co-ordinator Prateek Hajela through a press release informed that a total of 3,30,27,661 members applied through 68,37,63 applications. The particulars submitted by applicants were taken up for scrutiny to determine the eligibility of their infusion in NRC.

The NRC Co-ordinator further informed that as per orders of the SC, draft NRC (complete draft) was published on July 30, 2018, wherein 2,89,83,667 numbers of persons were found eligible for inclusion.

Thereafter, claims were received from 36,26,630 persons against exclusion. Objections were received against the inclusion of 1,87,633 persons who names had appeared in the complete draft. Another additional draft exclusion list was published on June 26, 2019, wherein 1,02,462 were excluded.

After disposal of all the claims and objections and proceedings under Clause 4(3), it has been found that a total of 3,11,21,004 persons are found eligible for inclusion in the final NRC, leaving out 19,06,657 persons, including those who did not submit claims.
