Kohima, November 9, 2019:

The Isaak-Muivah faction of the the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN), the largest armed militant group in Nagaland, has appealed for "peace and unity" among all Nagas ahead of the settlement with the Government of India.

Ahead of the 'final solution' to the contentious Naga issue, the NSCN/GPRN has appealed all the sections of Naga society to come on board with the "agreement" between the GoI and the Nagas.

In a statement, the GPRM stated that the Nagas have had to face enemies of different hues in defense of their national future. "The demon of war had terribly devastated the Naga families, societies, home, villages, towns, and their country to a great extent. The Nagas are, in fact, the innocent victims of this demon of war, a war that was born of the aggressors' brain." However, the NSCN says that both the Government of India and the Nagas realize now that the Naga problem is political, not military.

The NSCN reiterated that they have forgiven the past mistakes of their brothers and sisters in different camps, and that they should also forgive their past mistakes and be reconciled in the gracious name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

"Let this message of peace and unity among the Nagas be aceeptable to all the Nagas, far and near. Unity for the historic tasks ahead is indispensable. Now is the time for the Nagas to unite so that together we move forward to the new era, together we build a land of milk and honey, and together we build a people that trust in the Lord", read the communique.
