MIAO: A self-styled private of the NSCN (K) surrendered in front of the district administration of Changlang district, where the rebel outfit has a large presence, on February 9.

 

"Self-styled Pvt Matkham Ngaimong on Tuesday (February 9) surrendered at the Miao police station in the presence of Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh and, Indian Army and B/171 BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)," officials said.

The cadre reportedly joined the NSCN (K) organization at a 'tender age' due to influence by the cadres of the same organization in November 2012, officials said, adding that the individual surrendered the organisation to lead a simple life after "convincing and persistent efforts by the security forces."
