NSCN(K) cadres nabbed by Assam Rifles in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 19, 2019:

The Dimapur Battalion of Assam Rifles on Monday were conducting a spot check of vehicles on National Highway 29 near Chekiye village of Dimapur. The Assam Rifles apprehended four individuals in possession of illegal arms, ammunition and incriminating documents, commuting in a Maruti car with registration number AS-05A 8071. The nabbed militants were identified as Anato Zhimomi (37) from Dimapur, Tokato Awomi, (29) from Dimapur, Aputo Aye, (27) from Zunheboto and Shukahi Kati (42) from Zunheboto.

Two .22 pistols with magazines,18 live rounds of .22 pistol, 08 live rounds of 9mm, one live round of 7.62mm, 2 rounds of 12 bore shotgun, 50gm ganja and 3 extortion assignment order of NSCN (K) were nabbed from the cadres. The cadres and goods were handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
