KOKRAJHAR: Ahead of the forthcoming assembly polls, the election branch of kokrajhar district on February 20 has organized a training programme for the booth level officers (BLO) at the basic training centre, Kokrajhar, and emphasized their important role in polling stations during the election.
They were directed to ensure that “no voter” is left behind, and sensitization of the of polling stations is a must.
The deputy commissioner (DC) stressed on maintaining COVID-19 protocols at each and every stage and activity of election.
The DC instructed that three new groups- PWD, 80+years, and covid suspected or infected persons have been added to the scope of the postal ballot this time.
Participants at the event were thermoscanned, and proved with hand sanitizers and face masks.
Over 227 nos of BLOs were trained by five nos of master trainers.
Assam assembly election is scheduled between April and May.
